| Very good point in your second paragraph Savannah.
It is totally impossible that it could have been a time traveler on a cell phone. There is no way she could be talking to someone on the other end. How would the call go through with no cell phone towers? LETS GO PENS!

| I saw this last week. It does look like she's on a cell phone which is impossible. I'm sure there's a logical explanation that no one has come up with yet. | |

| I'm sure there is, too. I'd really like to know what it is. (Maybe she's just a little bit loopy. Who knows. )
The point about cell phone towers was brought up in a debate about this, and those who believe she's a time traveler said that someone with the technological capability of time travel would most likely be advanced enough to circumvent the necessity of a cell phone tower. Sounds relatively reasonable - but, if they're that advanced, why would they still be using a cell phone-styled communication device? It isn't as if it would be to "blend in", because it wasn't even thought of yet, much less invented. So she certainly wasn't blending in with it. Wouldn't someone that technologically advanced have a communication device that wasn't hand-held, and didn't need to be held to the ear?
I love trying to figure out the possibilities.
(Oh, and Gin...I have posts that disappear now and then, too. I think I have some PMs that go missing, as well.)

| This was on Yahoo last week, and someone suggested that perhaps she was shielding her face when she saw the camera. I think that is a plausible explanation. | |

| Well, I think it was a radio and she was singing along or talking to someone up ahead of her. If that is a time traveler, she needs to stop in somewhere and get a makeover. | You know what? When I watched this footage last week, I thought it was very familiar. I showed it to my mother and she thought she had seen it before, too. We just can't think of where, though. I actually don't own that set of Chaplin's films. I never got around to getting it yet. If I had seen that, I know she would've stood out to me mainly because she is kind of odd-looking. I almost think she is odd enough-looking to be a little creepy-looking. And it is very strange how she looks at the camera. At least I think so. She is just creepy to me. Anyway, I am going to come out of the closet now. I am a believer in a lot of paranormal things. Having said that, I don't think it is time travel. I really don't believe in that (and watch! We are all wrong! ). While it is very weird, I think the odds are greater it is NOT time travel. And I don't know why so many people think there really is a chance of that. I personally just think it is a woman who is a little off in the head and she is talking to herself. What she could be holding in her hand, I don't know. But unless you can see exactly what it is (because she is definitely holding something), you will never know what it is that she is talking to. I saw on another site that someone said she was holding some kind of hearing aid. They even found a picture of what they were talking about (why they would know what a 1920's hearing aid looks like is beyond me), but if she were holding that, WHY WOULD SHE BE TALKING TO HERSELF THROUGH IT???? I just think she is an odd-looking woman who happens to be holding something and that is talking to herself. Who's going to do the cooking?!?! | |

| I think we're so used to seeing the image of people walking around talking cell phones that seeing an image of someone holding something close to their ear like that we would automatically think, "cell phone". Unless I'm blind, the picture is not clear enough to see what she is really holding. The time traveler theory is entertaining though. Personally, I think the dude watches too many Star Trek type shows and put way too much time and thought into this clip. | |

You know what? I have never seen a single episode of the show. Not ever. And, actually, that is a common question that I get asked. I assume that you are, right? Whenever I get around to joining Netflix again, The X-Files was going to go on my list, anyway (I decided that when I join again I would focus on the TV shows that I have missed over the years rather than the movies - I actually got caught up to all of those). So, is it worth me watching the entire series? I hear it is pretty good. - MattLabMyLove wrote:

Honestly? I kind of thought that when I looked at her. I just think she has such exaggerated looks, though.
