| Happy Australia Day! Speaking of which, did anyone see the "Australia" special that Oprah had on last week? I only saw the end, but it featured Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Olivia Newton John, and Russell Crowe. There could have been more, but that was all I saw....it was pretty neat! | |

| How did I miss this????(I think because Julia's 16th birthday fell on the same day.)
Thank you all!!
Australia Day is a very important day in the history of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, the date commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788 and the proclamation at that time of British sovereignty over the eastern seaboard of New Holland.

Thanks for the info, Alex. I didn't know about the exact meaning of "Australia Day". Vanesa.
