I got three garden catalogs in the mail today! January's the month to start planning those gardens!

Did you get a Burpees? I got that one today! As I thumb through the pages and see the tomatoes and corn, I can almost feel the spring breezes.

That's the one! They know just when to send those, too, don't they? Those beautiful pictures of luscious garden bounty. . . . it's like a taste of things to come. And I love my snow! But you're right, I can almost smell spring when I look through those catalogs!

Do you have a railroad running through your town? (We used to have several railroad lines here. The B&O and Grand Trunk lasted the longest, but ours have been gone for a couple of years now. )

Yes, we have several railroad running through my town.
The town was founded in 1872, by the Southern Pacific Railroad. When I first moved here from LA, I remember my first night sleeping in my empty room on the mattress floor and I would hear the train in the distance.
