My uncle

If you could, please say a prayer for my uncle. I just found out today that he had a heart attack yesterday morning, after shoveling snow. We have not seen each other often the last couple years, but I feel just awful for my aunt and cousin (his family), for what they're all going through. Can you please include them in your prayers too? I know this is a very scary time for them, not knowing what will come next. I'm still waiting to hear from them on he extent of the damage, and what will happen next. We haven't been close the last few years - some of you may remember me talking about my cousin, but she had a baby last year and since then, things have been a little better between us; we've visited a few times (she lives out of town). I'm so worried about them now, and wish I could do something to help them through this

Thank you for your prayers, they mean alot {{hugs}} My mom spoke to my aunt this morning, and so far they're still waiting til my uncle is a little stronger to do anything else. He may need surgery to fix his broken jaw; he was actually driving when he took the heart attack so he was in an accident on top on it His heart stopped twice and he had to be brought back, so with him still being out of it, they don't know the extent of the damage. My heart is breaking for my aunt; I know how hard this must be on her, but my parents may go stay with her for awhile. I'm hoping the bad weather holds off so they're able to get there this weekend. Thanks again, everyone.

How old is he? So sorry to hear about the accident too. Many prayers for your family and doctors.

He is 60. My mother's been checking in with them daily; so far, no change. He will hopefully be getting an MRI next week so they can better determine any damage to his heart. Thank you all again for the prayers {{hugs}}

Wow, that is horrible....that is one of my biggest fears with my hubby----he commutes and I worry that something like this could happen while he's driving.

We've finally heard about some of the results from the MRI, it's kind of hard to tell exactly what's going on because I've getting third hand information at the moment, but my uncle hasn't been responding to any of the stimuli, so they think he may have suffered brain damage because of his heart stopping. My parents are going to see him in the hospital tomorrow and be with my aunt. It sounds like there isn't anything the doctors can do. Thank you all again for your prayers {{hugs}}

We received an update from my aunt today...apparently, my uncle is having trouble with the feeding tube...he has been throwing up, like his body is rejecting it. They are going to start taking the machines off him tomorrow I'm praying for strength for my aunt and cousin...I know they are feeling very helpless and hopeless now Something I forgot to mention also, is that they haven't told my uncle's mother what happened to him. She is in her 90s, and they didn't want to upset her, but I don't know how they can keep this from her now, or how she will take it once she does find out. Could you please include her in your prayers? We would really appreciate it. Thank you for all your support during this...I appreciate it very much.

Oh Christina, I'm so sorry. What a devastating time for your family. I will be praying for you and for all of them, and certainly your uncle's mother as well. I can't quite imagine being told at this point, but there's definintely no getting around it. She needs to know.

SO sorry this is all so sad for you all. Prayers are going for strength and peace now. I worked in a nursing home many yrs ago and witnessed a few of our residents being told their children had passed away. Its a tough one when they are still alert themselves.
Sixty is not that old, but you have to know he might not have much quality of life if he does plug on. Its so hard to watch. God is in control. (((hugs)))

My uncle passed away this morning. I haven't had a chance to speak with my aunt, but my mother spoke to her today. She seems to be doing okay, I think she knew this was coming but I still feel horribly for her and my cousin. If you could please continue to pray for them in this great time of loss, I know they'd appreciate it. I don't know what the arrangements for the funeral are yet, but I'm hoping that we can manage to get to them, since they lived out of town and we would both have to make arrangements with work to go, so if you could please say a prayer for us too, I'd be very grateful. {{hugs}}
