This opens on April 15th. Yes, I am really looking forward to this one. And I am happy to hear that the ending is left open for people to come up with their own conclusions on whether Mary Surratt was guilty or not. That is what I really wanted. I didn't want this film to be one-sided at all and I guess it won't be. I went to the Surratt Tavern last year. I planned on going on the John Wilkes Booth Escape Route last year (they have maps for it). Actually, the entire trip was planned around that because we had to be there on a Saturday (the only day that the tavern and Dr. Mudd's house was open on the same day), but we only went to the two buildings that you could visit. It was just too hot to do anything else. Anyway, if I would've held off and gone to Maryland this year, I could've gotten free admission with my movie ticket stub from this film!
Still, I think I am the only person that thinks it is kind of odd to release this film on the day that Lincoln died, but what do I know, right? Maybe it is being released the week it is the official start of the Civil War and that Friday just happens to end up on the anniversary of his death. Who knows?
I like the idea of Robin Wright as Mary Surratt, but I am really unhappy about the choice of the actor who plays Booth. JWB is probably minor in this film, but still, they should've tried to get someone similar in his looks.
There I go again! Nit-picking something I haven't even seen yet. I will stop!

Well, then, you will be making a whole day of it, won't you? I didn't even know they made "Atlas Shrugged" into a movie. I am a little behind these days, though. After all, I honestly didn't even know about "The Conspirator" until about 3 weeks ago. I just happened to be in a bookstore and James McAvoy and Robin Wright were on a cover of a book (by a different name than the film). Then I decided to look it up and there it was!
