As I previously mentioned, I had never heard of Rebecca Black before....is this her claim to fame or has she done some other things?
Anyway, I can't say I find this song very exciting. But then again, in my era we had S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y.....Night! by the Bay City Rollers and it may have been about as good as this.
And that other song "Everybody's Working for the Weekend" - I don't even know who sang that one.
I have a problem in general with people just living for a weekend. How 'bout a song where someone is excited to go to work on Monday for a change?!?

Wellll, I'm not sure about excited, but here's a song that at least talks about going to work on Monday. Twenty-some years after it hit the charts, here's the Bangles doing an acoustic version of Manic Monday.

Okay, well now I just watched the Conan thing (except for some reason I can't get it to play about the last ten seconds) and that was absolutely hilarious!!! I'm not often a big fan of Conan's brand of humor, but that thing was really funny. Of course, if I had not just watched the Friday thing, I would probably have no idea what Conan's thing was about. And what is really funny is that I also kind of wondered about what the deal was with that rapper guy in the middle of the Rebecca video (and I also am not sure what he was rapping about...it sounded like he said something about a school bus to me)!

(C'mon) Passin' by is a school bus in front of me Makes tick tock, tick tock, wanna scream Check my time, it's Friday, it's a weekend We gonna have fun, c'mon, c'mon, y'all

Yes, that must be the rapping part.....so he did say something about a school bus.
I guess the words are not supposed to mean much. It's probably just supposed to be a fun song.
Maybe I'm just too old to appreciate what is a fun song these days.
