I was talking about my dog Oscar in the game room. He passed away at the vet this morning. We brought him home and burried him. Come to find out Oscar ate some of the cat food that was recalled for rat poison. I just found out last night he ate it at my brothers house. Now my brother's cat is ill at the vet. I just can't believe he's gone. Oscar was like one of my boys. Jim called him my little shadow. My youngest son Michael has been crying all morning. I try not to cry in front of him, but it's hard not to. I dreed tonight when my 3 oldest boys come home. I'm sorry if I'm getting sappy and all. I'm just bescide myself. It feels alittle better to get this off my chest.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Susie. I understand how you feel, as you know I just brought my in-laws' cat in on Tuesday and had him put to sleep for the same reason.

The important thing is to make sure all these incidents get reported to the FDA. The FDA site does have a place to register a complaint and they also have a 1-800 number to call.

Also, there is a class action lawsuit being formed which our vet encouraged us to look into. I am not into suing people, but the loss of our pets is deplorable. No amount of money can replace our lost pets, but at least we can be reimbursed for the visits to the vets.

I'm truly sorry, Susie.

Cheryl

Oh Susie! Blue I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know how special Oscar was to you. It's not like they're "pets" - they really do become one of the family.
You don't sound sappy at all, sweetie. I cried my heart out when my Golden Retriever died. My nephew was 5 at the time, and we just hugged each other and cried. You and your family have my prayers. {{{Susie}}}

Oh Susie bawling I'm very sorry to hear this. Blue
My prayers are with you and your family. Pets really do become part of the family and I'm sure you are hurting right now. Hang in there friend. :alright:

I would definetely report it to the FDA and do the lawsuit thing as well.

I am so sorry to hear that, Susie. It's so difficult to lose a pet. They're like one of your children. You'll be in my thoughts.

((((( SUSIE ))))) I'm so sorry about Oscar, I still miss my 2 dogs and it's been 4 and 5 years ago, they do become our family members, I felt like I lost my two babies when they died. Your family is in my prayer.

Susie, I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your friend. I can understand how you feel as I have lost a dog as well. It is so sad to see the news reports of animals suffering and I agree that those responsible need to he held accountable.

Susie,

I was saddened to read about your poor dog Oscar. How tragic this is becoming for so many families. My heart goes out to you and your family. How about naming your new Puppy "Felix" from the Odd couple Oscar and Felix... Wave

Aw, that's a cute idea Lorri! :) And Susie, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog :( It's so much sadder b/c it could have been prevented, had this pet food not been contaminated. It makes me sick thinking about it. I hope you and your family are feeling better, and I'm glad you have one of his puppies.
