Music competition

We spent the day at Cedarville University for a music competition. My oldest daughter played a flute solo and a piano solo. She got superior ratings on both. I thought she did a good job. She wasn't happy with her piano performance. It wasn't her best, but considering she had never played that piano before she did pretty well. I was proud of her.

Congratulations to her, Lori! That's great that she was able to get a Superior rating on a piano that she had never played before. Sometimes it's helpful to ask the judges if you can play a few scales through to get a good feel for the touch and action of the piano. They can vary SO much! You have good reason to be proud of her!

What pieces did she play?

That's great news Lori! She should be very proud of herself. I remember those days of taking my son to his competitions. Always a nervous time.

That is so wonderful.....I am so glad she did such a good job......My boys did those competitions and I have there little medals and ribbons...I will treasure those memories forever as music is something that makes a child a better person..............

For piano she played Valse, Opus 70, No. 2 by Chopin, and on flute she played Allegro by Loeillet.
