I am also glad that you didn't get hurt Debbie. What a great guy he was!!!
I will never forget a stranger helped me once. I had just had my first daughter in 1997, at the time her doctor was in the city (Manhattan) and there was no way that I would drive to the city, so I used to put my baby in a stroller and took the train to the city.
When the train stopped, there's always a gap between the train and the platform. Well one day as I was pushing the stroller out to the platform, the front wheels got stuck and locked up in that gap. I struggled but to no avail. At mean time I was thinking the train was ready to pull out and drag me and my baby in the stroller with it. Suddenly, this wonderful guy who was already going up the stairs, flying down and came to my rescue, he tried for about 30 seconds but seemed like forever, finally managed to free the wheels. I was so grateful that he was there to help me. He even carried the stroller up the stairs for me. I will never forget him!!!
