It is the lack of Christianity that has  brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts.  LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart

Okay, so I've written a poem for the Hunger Games, now everyone is going to think I'm obsessed. Heehee! HeeHee Have fun all you THG fans (you know who you are greenS ) and don't cry too much, I don't have enough tissues in this kleenex box.

If Only

Breath in
All I can hope to feel
Is nothing deep inside
It's hanging just outside my reach
And I only want to hide
From all the painfulness in life
It's getting much too hard
This pressing on
So I'll lay down my arms
Give up this fight
Quit on this war
So I can sleep tonight
And I will fight no more
Fight no more
If only I could. . .
If I could. . .
If only. . . .

Just one thing keeps me
Running through these trees
What is that, you may ask
I'll tell you the truth
It was a promise that I gave
So I must go on, go on
And I breath in
All I don't want to feel inside
Is following me
Chasing me through the woods
Dogging me through the day
Haunting me in dreams
Till they crash over me
With visions of smiles and tears
Hopes and fears
And all I want to do
Is just give in
Just give up
If only I could. . .
If I could. . .
If only. . . .

But I live on another day
fleeing from the hunters
Who lust for blood
Spilling scarlet innocence
Upon the fallen leaves
Praying that I can beat this nightmare
And awaken again
To the real world
To love
So I breath in
And race on towards the goal
Swinging my sword
Drawing back my bow
Sending an arrow through the air
Along with a song
Of hope in vain
And I wish for the end
Of it all
So I can return
To life
If only I could. . .
If I could. . .
If only. . . .

Breath in
It's somehow over now
And I can go back
To the way it was
Before the blood
Before the tears
Before the shame
Before the scars
If only I could. . .
If I could. . .
If only. . . .
