If you *need* this sign. . .

We have a sign posted outside of town that (to me) falls into the category of, "If You Need This Sign, You Shouldn't Be Driving":





And they pay people to make these signs??

Those signs are common up north Savannah....we have always gotten a kick out of them! I'd never seen one down here though before!

I know! The first time I saw one, it was up north, and I just laughed and laughed...I thought..."Do they really need these up here??" (This was before I met you, Rob, so don't pan me for that. ) Then a few years back they put one just outside of town. Actually, Amy, you may have driven right by it when you came here last year! It's out by where the highway connection is.

Around here, those signs are normally posted where there's a passing lane on the other side of the freeway. Meaning that you shouldn't pass if there's a car in either lane, even if it's the one farthest away from you. Does that make sense?

Oh, I understand why they're posted . . . the wording just cracks me up and brings flippant wisecracks to mind. But I have a quirky sense of humor anyway.

I can't find the pic now, but I had one where the sign said "DIP" just before a road cave-in. A little bit of an understatement I thought.

But, it's much more exciting to pass when opposing traffic is present.
