| I would love to see this. I would also like to go to the Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum to look at the LIW and RWL papers. Somehow it seems wrong to include that with something as great as the Emancipation Proclamation, but it came to mind. | |

| I would have loved to go see it, the museum isn't too far from where I live. They were talking about it on the news this morning. People lined up for 6 hours overnight to see it, and at the time of the newscast, the wait was 4 hours long to see it for about 20 seconds. But still, to see such an amazing piece of history, it would be worth it. They said it's here until 7:30 Wednesday morning. | |

| It would, for sure. The museum's site says that the National Archives staffers will arrive at 7:00 Wednesday morning, and no matter how many people are left in line, they're packing it up to head out by 7:30. I hope they've figured out a cut-off time (for lining up) so that they don't have a lot of disappointed people.
Cheryl, the LIW and RWL papers are a part of history, too! It didn't have the same impact on the future freedoms of an entire group of people like the proclamation did, but it still impacted the lives of thousands of people here in our country, and all around the world! I can completely see why they'd come to mind.
Rhonda - great minds. Rob! Alex, I'm a history fiend...so the document itself really is incredibly fascinating for me. But the video was fun, too. It's common knowledge, man!! | |
