| Yesterday I was at the store, and before long, you came to my mind, because I heard someone calling for "GG". It made me think of you and Rob right away...I was going to post and tell you about that last night, and tell you that if you did happen to make it this far north, to be sure to bring your pencils along, and we could draw while we chatted....Well, I ended up with a migraine last night, so I didn't get a chance to post and tell you about it. . . but hearing Rob's nickname for you must've stuck in my mind because I ended up having two dreams about you! In the first dream, I was only watching, I wasn't actually in it...Rob had gone down to Texas on vacation, and had stopped at a park to meet you and your family. He took a picture of you taking a picture and posted it on the board. That would be the perfect picture of you, Gin!
In the next dream, you came to my hometown, and there was a big art festival going on, where Main Street (which is brick) was closed down, and people could actually sit (or lay) on the street and draw the downtown. So you and I had these huge sheets of paper spread out on the street and we were drawing the brick theater. (Using pastels, by the way.) We talked for a long time as we drew, and we just about had our pieces finished when some big-footed man came along and WALKED across our drawings! Before either one of us could say anything, though, we noticed that rather than having damaged our drawings, it had actually burnished them for us - saving us the final "step" (pun intended) in our drawings.
It was a very fun dream. Who knew that just hearing Rob's nickname for you would bring about such dreams. (And it turned out to be a darling little boy named "Georgie" who was the "GG" at the store, by the way.) But who knows...Maybe someday we'll really be able to get together to draw and chat, Gin! Edited to add: I found a couple of shots of Main Street....
I love the brick road!

| That is too funny---you sure do have some detailed dreams!! Your downtown has so much character---the brick road totally 'makes' it. "GG" will surely get a kick out of this dream! | |

| I think the town I grew up in has one brick street left. We get to drive on it every time I go to my parents' house. | |
