Hot car remedy

Today I read about a way to instantly cool off the interior of a hot car... which may come in handy today. It said to open the window on one side, then rapidly open and close the door on the other side five or six times. This supposedly forces the hot air out. I haven't tried it, but plan to.

I want to be there to get a video of this.

It has to look pretty funny seeing someone open and shut a car door five or six times!

You'd be defeating the purpose down here.....you'd only be forcing the hot air from the car out and the hot air from the heat outside....IN!

It'll still be hotter inside the vehicle, though, if you have the windows up. So it would at least be less-hot air being pushed through. It's supposed to be 100 here, actual air-temp, according to the local news - and I'm sure it'll be MUCH hotter inside a closed vehicle. (My weatherbug says the high is supposed to "only" be 95...I think I'll take that forecast. Any little bit helps! )

Has that hot bubble of air moved through your area yet, Savannah? They say it's supposed to hit here sometime later in the afternoon. It's 86 now, and the forecasted high is 92.

Ok I happen to know this will not work for myself or Amy. WHY? Because we both cannot roll our drivers side window down. Its one of many odd things she and I have in common.

It could confuse some people as well....."Door Ajar" Try explaining to a child how a door can be a jar.....yes, I went through that when my kids were really little....

When I was a young girl, my family had to use a "loaner" car while ours was being fixed. We'd never heard a "talking" car before, and seriously, we sat there listening to the car say, "The door is ajar....The door is ajar".

See.....if the car is telling you that.......then it must be so.....

Ha! I remember that riddle from when I was a kid. "When is a door not a door?" "When it's ajar."

Well, you could always roll down the passenger window and open and close the driver side door. (This is why I get the big money. )

Another tip; just open all the windows and crank your air conditioning RIGHT UP!!
