I am going to be an extra in Batman!

The next installment of Batman is filming around my city and in August I am going to be an extra. It is going to be at Heinz field. It's a winter scene so we have to wear winter jackets in the middle of summer? lol. We are able to take them off in between takes. Not sure what actors are going to be there but Christian Bale arrived here yesterday. They are going to be having explosions in the scene we are filming! It's going to literally be a blast, lol!! I am super excited. It is going to be a 12 hour day, but well worth it. I was an extra in the 1998 tv movie about the Temptations. I was there from 5 am to 6pm and it was fun. I didn't mind it at all. We did makeup and hair. It was cool. I don't have all the details about this next one though. They are slowly trickling in.

Beckie, that is so cool! We have movies being filmed in Michigan now too, and I'd love to be able to be an extra, but with work it would be impossible. I have a friend who is a court reporter, and he is actually 'playing' the court reporter in Hugh Jackman's new movie. The scene is being filmed in this small town near us, in an old courthouse. Kind of neat, that all these opportunities are flourishing for people. You'll have to post pictures when the time comes!

Alex, an extra is someone who is like in the background of a movie like at a bar or walking down the street.

I was in the 2 scenes where it says Motortown Revue. You can see me in the lower left hand corner about 4min and 56 seconds in. I have on a white, short sleeved shirt, long curly hair and a black watch. My head was down and I was swinging my arms, lol. What great memories. It was a 16 hour day.

Well the filming Saturday was interesting to say the least. Everyone was sweating their butts off in their winter jackets, lol. We all got sun burned too. It was a 12 hour day. We had to act scared. I don't want to say any more because I do not want to give the movie away. I did get wrapped up in my acting though, lol. It was pretty cool. I was pretty mad though because they made me and my cousin sit up high in the stands, so we will not really be shown I am guessing. They focused more on one side of the place which made me pretty mad, lol. But I can at least be proud that I was a part of it. They showed us a teaser trailer on the big screen there and I got the chills knowing that I am part of this. They gave us all raffle tickets and naturally me and my cousin did not win anything. They were also throwing t-shirts and neglected to come to out section. Grrr. So unfair, lol. Anyway here is the trailer they showed us. It's pretty awesome!

Very cool Beckie....well, not that you had to sweat your booty off, but that you are a part of this big blockbuster! We saw the preview for this when we went to see Harry Potter. I'm sure it will be great....makes me a little sad to think about it because I can't help reminiscing about Heath Ledger. It's going to be bittersweet, I guess.

I posted the teaser trailer here but now this is the actual one being shown in theaters! I am in the scenes at the football stadium (Heinz Fiend where the Steelers play). I get the chills every time I watch it.
