The scary thing is that three of the feeders are attached to the windows by suction cups. So it'd be very easy for him to take a swipe at one and put his paw right through the glass.

So you definitely took those down?

Yes. I took them down every night during the spring and summer after it was apparent he was in the neighborhood (he shows up at other houses, too). Then in September there'd been no sign of him for quite a while, so I started leaving the feeders up. Then last night, on the ugliest, rainiest night we've had in weeks, he showed up.

The used letters in one of his hangman puzzles spelled LOID, and I thought it fit him quite nicely.

There was a deer in the yard this morning. She was limping on her right back leg. Oh, and a bluejay got killed by a hawk. I found a pile of blue feathers in the yard.

I do. The neighborhood is in a pretty heavily wooded area, with a swamp nearby. We're just beggin' for wildlife.

You should live at our house..I see wildlife nearly every day including sheep

How many snakes do you see in summer?

Oh, our woods are full of wild sheep. Not really.

Don't see nearly as many snakes as I did when I was a kid. The majority were garter snakes and grass snakes. I did see an eastern milksnake last summer.

Our snakes are quite modest. What kinds do you have out there?

Oh, A few kinds-Red-bellied black snake, brown snake, and rare but dangerous Tiger Snake

I just looked them up, and I see they're all venomous! The Tiger Snake is especially scary looking. We only have one poisonous snake in Michigan - the Massasagua Rattler. And it's fairly wimpy. If you get bit, you'll probably spend the day feeling like you have a mild case of the flu.

I'll volunteer to get bitten!

Are you kiddin'?? All he'd have to do is give me a little bit and I'd probably die of a heart attack on the spot! Snakes are not my favorite things.
