I've always loved this guy, so my ears perk up when I hear anything new about him. He recently showed up with family in tow at a Parkinson's event, and performed "Johnny B. Goode" on stage, a homage to his old Marty McFly days! But wow, just look at his family! All grown up! And is it just me, or does he still look like he's 25?! A regular Dick Clark!

Very cool, Amy! Love the Johnny B. Goode performance!
It's a pity Michael's kids are so unattractive.

I can't get over how much his daughter in the lavender looks like her mother! Gorgeous family!
(And lol, I edited the 'song title' in my post. )

Yeah, I thought she was Tracey at first!
Oh! I didn't even notice you had the song title in your post, Amy. Was it fifeable?

Fortunately for you, Amy, the blondes unattractive kids distracted the Fife-inator. (Because there WAS a fifeable in the second post, too! ) But they're all clean now. Good dodging, Amy!
And you're right, Amy, she does look a LOT like her mom!

Yeah, my attention was diverted by the one with the legs. Then I realized she was a teenager, and averted my eyes.

Oh my gosh! They're teens?? I sincerely apologize, Rob. I wouldn't have joked about that if I knew that. (They don't look like teens!)

Healthy, healthy children.
Sam looks just like a taller version of his dad.

Yeah, it's kinda funny that his son looks 16 and his daughters look 22! Don't worry Rob, you're only human! (Although I will say the girls look like they need a good meal. Well, mainly Miss Lavender. ).
And I know---I thought the 'lavender' daughter was Tracy at first too! Then I realized she can't possibly look THAT young, lol!! Too bad they didn't get a shot with Tracy too.
And I agree, his son looks SOooooo much like his dad!

I, too, think she's a little clone of Tracey. It would be interesting to see a pic of Tracey at 16. I bet you wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

He actually did have a rough time of it for quite awhile. He has struggled with alcoholism and depression. I'm glad he could climb out with Tracy's help....he's quite the inspirational man.
Here's a video of him and Tracy....I love how the person incorporated their infamous dance from Family Ties throughout the video. Yes, I'm a sap. But just look at them! And Teresa, this is for you...there are some very young Tracy pictures throughout...her daughter really is a clone!
Oh, and here's another article I just found...they just celebrated 23 years of marriage...

Yes, I know he had a rough time, but like I said, he didn't let those dark shadows follow him....he was able to walk beyond them....So many of them get caught up in the darkness and drown....

Oh, I see what you're saying now, Rhonda. I thought you were refering to 'child stardom' as the 'dark shadow', in your other post, so I wasn't sure you knew about Michael's struggles. It makes me sad to think about the child stars who end up having so many problems. I remember being absolutely shocked at reading everything Melissa Gilbert got into, through her autobiography.
Did anyone ever see Michael's first movie, "Midnight Madness", or something like that? It was a silly movie, about a teenage scavenger hunt, as I recall. He was SO young in it! I'll see if I can find it on youtube...
Ok, here it is, circa 1980...Michael shows up at 2:18. Listen to his voice!

This is like my third grade spelling bee. My word was medicine. I'm sorry, but that is a TOUGH word in the third grade! So, I spelled it medicine first, then changed it quickly to medacine, because it just seemed to 'look right' in my mind. Of course, that was W-R-O-N-G and I went out WAY too fast from that competition! Needless to say I've never spelled medicine wrong again! The same will be true of the word R-E-F-E-R-R-I-N-G.

Those spelling bee defeats never stop hurting. I remember winning a Jack & Jill board game when my classmate Julie spelled Jupiter J-U-P-I-T-O-R.
Reminds me of a Frank & Ernest cartoon where one guy said to the other, "I was in a lot of spelling bees, but I never one won."
