It was twenty years ago today that we lost the inimitable Freddie Mercury. In his memory, I'm going to Thanksgiving dinner wearing the same outfit that Freddie has on at 1:35 of this video.

I'd posted this earlier, but it was pointed out to me that it disappeared....SO:
When I first saw the subject title I thought, "Wait...What?? I thought he died a long time ago!"

LOL, I thought the same thing Savannah! Gosh, it's hard to believe it's been 20 years.
Well, it's time you knew. I'm a closet Queen fan. Seriously die hard. Adore Queen! My hubby got me turned on to Queen when we first started dating and my love affair with them has never ended. Freddie Mercury was brilliant.
And funny, I was such a fan of Bohemian Rhapsody (I play that on the piano) that I talked my Madrigal choir director into letting us perform that song our Senior year. It was the first time she'd ever thought about having a choir do it. We did it and it turned out awesome! So much fun.
My favorite Queen song ever.

Not bad, not bad! Sorry your group didn't take first - but hey, second place out of all of the whole competition is something they can sure be proud of!

I watched the finals. I thought the Aires were going to take it. But this is like American Idol in the sense that it can be a huge career boost even if you don't finish in first.

Well, I'm better late than never, in answering this. Rob, did you ever see the movie, "Highlander"? I saw it when Bill & I were dating, and this song hit me like a ton of bricks. I just loved it. Not sure if you know the premise, but the guy in Highlander is immortal, and he has to watch his beloved age and die. Hence the song. The movie is kinda cheesy, but I love the main character and, for a 'guy' movie, I actually enjoyed it.
