| Well, my mom & I, been volunteering at the library. for almost 4 months. We organize books on the shelf. Well, tonight. My mom got yell at. (not really yell) Since you have be quiet in the library. This one librarian didn't like, my mom helping a customer. We suppose send the customers to one of the librarians at the front desk. My mom said, if the person comes to us. We suppose tell them go ask the front desk. My mom will help out. If, the person comes ask us. Send them over to the front desk. If, we know where the books locate. Why should we send them to the front desk? Unless, we didn't know. (The librarian. saying we're taking away her job.) We work are buns off. While they sit & chat. They don't do much. The head librarian chew me out for straighten out the nonfiction section. Theirs was really nothing to do in my section. Juvenile, Youth Adult and adult fiction. Usually, I have find stuff to do. Sometimes, I help my mom in the children section. So, if I see a non-fiction book in a different place.I just have put it on the non-fiction shelf. (Un wanted books) I thought, library will be so cool to volunteer. But, all they have us want us to do is organize the books or DD"s & CD's. We can't re-shelving them. (that will take someone's else job) Not sure, if they do that or other volunteer does it. The cart is full. We used to do re shelves the DVD's CD's & others. But, they just want us organize the CD's DVD's & books on tape. We're helping out. They want us feel stupid & ignorance. We can't help it, people come to us. Ask for help. That's what the librarian says to my mom. Your taking my job away. So, we don't know, if we're gonna work on this Monday. They might fire us. We do our share. If, they don't want volunteers. Why hire us in the first place? My mom said, they should be happy, someone knows their away around the library. Not looking stupid. If, they do fire us. Doesn't bother me. I'm getting tired of working there. Tired of doing the same stuff over & over. When, I want do something new. I have some rented books from the library. I'll finish reading them. Have my dad take them back once their done being read. | |

| You are right being so upset, but you must try to calm down before you could decide what to do. If a decission is made when you are angry and frustrated, it could be a bad decission. Just a thought there... Vanesa. | |

| Sounds like they resent you being there at all. Sorry this has been hard. If there isn't enough to do though you might need to find something else anyway. THEN, lets see how they like shelving all those books. Being unkind is never right, so they really should be more respectful of everyones feelings. | It's unfortunate they decided to take something that is so helpful to them and make it a bad thing. I know they are feeling the pinch like everyone else, but how could you threaten their jobs when you're volunteers? It's just silly.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it's time to move on to someplace that will appreciate you. | |

| Oh, I wasn't too angry. I did calm down. I must have used all the angry smiley faces up. :P Well, my mom is gonna say something this Monday. About it. We agreed to be there for six months. So, it's like wait & see. | |
