| This was a good storyline.....Poor Caroline. All she wanted to do was to give Charles a living son...... “I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all.” ― Laura Ingalls Wilder | |

| I felt so bad for Caroline. Charles was very loving and understanding when he learned the reason she kept the truth from him. Even though they adopted Albert, she wanted to give him a son. It's sad that the only son born to them died. How romantic that they renewed their wedding vows. The only thing I don't like about the episode is that Laura learned she's pregnant and should be a happy time, but then Caroline says she's pregnant and hadn't even been to the doctor to find out for sure. | |

| Laura announcing her pregnancy should have been a different episode. It started out as Laura's joy at learing she's pregnant, then it turned into Caroline learning she's going through the change and being devastated that she can't give Charles a son.

| I'm watching I, Do Again right now. It's my second favorite from season 7.

| If I ever do renew again...its going to be in a little country church just like in Walnut Grove. No candles to not want to light, no pew decorations falling off and no bobbie pins falling down my dress. I loved this one. Every couple married that long needs a get away like that. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| I agree,Gin. Charles and Caroline needed time away. They needed time away to relax and have time together. As Caroline told Henry and Myra Louise, they haven't been alone together in quite sometime. The last time they went away by themselves was in Whatever Happen To The Class of '56. | |

| I don't know how old Caroline was on the show, but Karen was 39 when the episode aired. | |

| I liked this show, the shows where Caroline and Charles and husband and wife and not just parents. I thought she was a little overwrought considering they had her think she was in menopause with Grace and she wasn't, and she didn't seem upset then. Now she is older and devastated. That said, I am well aware what hormones and other wonderful things menopause brings, so it wasnt that unbelievable. I loved Charles climbing up the trellace and the second wedding...just a nice show. | |

I also thought so too. Why did they tie her pregnancy announcement into such saddness. Despite that, I thought the actors did such a superb job in this episode. Both of them so lost knowing they can't have more children. Taking the time away and reconnecting with each other. It was a great storyline. | |

| It was a great storyline. I'm happy they didn't have Charles get upset with Caroline for hiding the truth from him. He was loving and supportive. It was good they got away. I like how he proposed that they renew their vows. I wish they would have shown the entire wedding. | |

| Weird that Charles and Caroline had never mentioned Ed and Eunice before and they get a letter from Ed saying their oldest son was getting married and that Charles and Caroline are invited to the wedding. They must of somehow stayed in contact since Eunice had mentioned itr had been 20 years since they saw Charles and Caroline and knew where they were living. | |

| Like with a lot things, we have to stretch our imagination a bit. There are people who are supposedly living in WG, but we only see for one episode. We're supposed to assume, I guess, that Caroline and Eunice corresponded from time to time, just like I think we need to assume Caroline stayed in touch with the pregnant woman who she visited in the mining camp with Doc Baker. | |

| Well,to help with the "stretching", they did always have a fascination with the mail, even in the books. They would ask about the mail, wait for letters, a catalog (no real bills then) I'm sure letter writing was nice and gave you something to look forward too.
"Forwarding" mail is another story, but again, suspend reality for a while.
