Here's the cute Australian Brush-tail possum we caught in our fox trap yesterday:
Thought you Americans would like it since you don't have possums.. Smile

Cool, Ruth! Actually, we do have them (in fact, there was one eating bread on my back porch last night), but they're a bit different.

That's right, but we usually just call 'em possums, too.

This isn't a possum, but a very handy armadillo. This is how they are used in Arkansas or you can just use them as bookends.

My memory of driving through Alabama the Beautiful (pardon me while I roll my eyes) are armadillos as Gin pictured above and scraggly pine trees.

We habe both in Argentina, possums and armadillos. ONce when we were having some holidays in countryside, my mother discovered a possum over a roof under we were fishing and she got terrified...she believed it was a GIANT RAT!!! Laughing At first I was sorta scared, believing the "rat" would jump on us, but after watching it carefully, I discovered it was a possum and that he was more scared than we were... greenS

Vanesa.
