Think it was wrong of the father to tell how they lived was wrong. I know he means well but still.IT was good they finally standed up to him.Least at the end things worked out.

Not a favorite of mine. I'm glad John stood up to his father-in-law and told him the house may be a shack, but it's home and he is not welcome there. With the furniture they had, it made the house look crowded.

I liked how you could read Mrs. Carter's face as her Dad spoke about her "other life". You knew she missed the theater and would love a larger newspaper, but she loved her husband and Walnut Grove more.
They touched on that once when Caroline talked about giving up things, teaching, dreams she had but you make sacrifices and she knew Charles had dreams he gave up too, but no real regrets.

I wish it wasn't so much like "Harriet's Happenings", kind of a rerun. I remember Harriet even bringing that up to Sara when she wanted to work at the newspaper...I guess she forgot the lesson that went with that period of time.

I watched this episode for the first time and was not impressed by it. I don't remember the woman's name who Harriet ruined by her actions, but I wished they had shown this woman again at the end of the episode so we would know what happened with her. I don't understand why Harriet felt the need to destroy a person who was keeping to herself and not hurting anyone. But that is Harriet for you. It was an interesting subplot to the story of the Carter's that was the focus of the episode.
