| --I just saw this in the news last night. I thought I'd pass it on.-- Frances Mae Labyorteaux, 85, passed away January 28th after a six-month illness. Performing early in her career as Frankie Marshall, she spent seven decades in show business, from Vaudeville and nightclubs, touring with the Tommy Dorsey band, to film and television. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ronald, daughter Janie and sister Betty, she is survived by sons Patrick (Tina) Labyorteaux and Matthew Labyorteaux, granddaughter Ericka Christensen, brother Bud Newman, her constant companion Tina the dog, and dear friends Noreen Reardon and Paula Cwikly. Her favorite role was that of doting Great Grandma GG to Jeau, Taylor and Annabelle. Along with adopting all of her children, Frances gave a loving home to countless abandoned animals and any friend in need, and will be remembered as a strong, funny, loving and generous woman, who was passionate about her family, her dogs and show biz. There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, February 4th. Contact K9LVR4@aol.com for info. Donations in her memory may be made to rescuetrain.org I remember the time I knew what happiness was...let the memory live again. | |

| What a sad new...I just love this woman and his husband, because they've adopted two boys who were almost dying, very sick and were not wanted for their biological parents. Frances and Ronald Labyortheaux (or Laborteaux) were the TRUE parents of those two great guys: Patrick and Matthew Labyorteaux. Rest in Peace, Frances. What you did is greater than any artistic career: take care of Patrick and Matthew. Vanesa. | |

| She sounds like she was a strong, giving woman. I bet Matt is in mourning right now. "Willie, were you or were you not looking at the corsett ads in the catalogue?" - Nels | |

| SO sad for her family. Hope springtime brings them good memories of her soon. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| Very sad indeed. I'm glad they were able to have their mom with them this many years, but it's never easy to lose your mom. | |

| Bless her for what she did for two gifted kids.....Matt and Patrick....... Without her, two gifted boys might not have ever been seen on the screen. RIP........ "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |

| How sad. I knew Matthew was sick with a heart problem when he was adopted, I didn't know Patrick was sick when he was adopted. | |
