The Traverse City Police Department responded early Thursday to a reported break-in at the First Congregational Thrift Shop on East Eighth Street. Inside, an officer and police dog found the suspect, 21, of Bear Lake, trying on women's clothes.

"They entered and detained the suspect, who was trying on a black women's pantsuit," city police Detective Sgt. Joe McCarthy said. "He was taken into custody without incident."

We had another one here in Michigan just this week that should be added to your list. A woman had an argument with a friend/boyfriend and accidentally left her purse at their house. Apparently, they wouldn't let her get it, so she called the police and asked them to. They needed to make sure they were getting her purse, so they checked for identification, and found not only the identification they were looking for, but also a stash of marijuana.

And right here in my hometown is one of the all-time stupidest criminals ever. He was drunk, and tried to rob a little "party store" a couple of blocks from my house. The cashier refused to give him the money, so he threatened to call the police on her if she wouldn't comply. She still refused - so he called the police!! Seriously! "I'm trying to rob this store, and she won't give me the money!!"
