Katherine MacGregor

I have always loved to hate Harriet, like everyone else, and I have been curious...Does anyone know who MacGroegor beat out for the part? I simply can't imagine anyone else as Harriet--ever! She was amazing, and I understand all the kids in the cast love her, too.

Found this interview on Youtube all about Harriet Oleson and wanted to share. It doesn't answer the question about who Katherine MacGregor beat out, but it is a good interview, and I especially love what she and Richard Bull had to say about their characters and how they played off each other........When it finishes, it goes into other interviews with the various actors from the show, not any Part 2 as I had hoped to find.
