| Thanks for the link, Carol...Obviously, his house wasn't so little...But it seems it was rather cozy! :D

| Wo is John? I wander if it was a misprint. He had an adopted son named Josh. | |

I think this boy is indeed Josh and not John... Vanesa.

| It seemed they wanted it to be cozy but I never liked big homes...the whole mansion with pools/tennis, just seemed more like a resort than a home. I don't like "help" having to live-in and not knowing if my kid is on the second of third floor when I'm looking for him/her.LoL I don't want Little House although I would like it for a vacation home, but I like the smaller Hollywood homes, maybe 4 or 5 bedrooms, lots of land for dogs and pets to run around but cozy and warm with little nooks and crannies. My favorite home when I used to dream about them was a modern log cabin or a large old victorian type with a wraparound porch and a swing on it. | |

| I remember saying something similar to Laura to her Pa in the episode about "fools gold" to my mother..she said all little girls want to live in castles like Cinderella and I said I would like it but all those rooms would be a pain to clean!

| I think if Laura could have afforded this, she could have squeezed in a maid or two to ease the pain....... | |

| Yes, maybe part time, but when you were brought up doing the work you would later pay others to do, sometimes it feels funny. My daughter noticed it at college, they had help that came in a few times a week to empty trash cans and clean the bathroom and some girls, mainly wealthy ones, were rude to them and acted liked they weren't there. She would always talk to them and got to know them better. If you were brought up with "help" sometimes they become invisible because you want to pretend you are alone I guess.
That is a beautiful castle...I looked up castles that are hotels once, they have one in US I know of, many in Europe, a nice fantasy to have.

| Laura had a great imagination! "Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?" "I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time." | |

I've always thought that too big houses could not be cozy...But that's only me! Vanesa.
