TEAM MWDA (Military Working Dog Adoptions), is HAPPY to ANNOUNCE that our joint effort "OPERATION: TRANSPORT MWD PATY N350" will take place TOMORROW 1/22/2013 !! The Christmas MIRACLE that you, TEAM MWDA, made happen will be fulfilled as MWD Paty N350 flies from Frankfurt, Germany to Philadelphia, PA to reunite with her former Handler/Dad SGT Adam Murphy !!!! MWD Paty N350, who was retired at 4 years old because she suffers from K9 PTSD and will have her Forever Home with Dad Adam. Paty will be arriving aboard Lufthansa in Philly around 4pm, and we hear a special welcome has been planned to celebrate the arrival of this special Hero Dog! YOUR DONATIONS make these reunions possible! YOU MAKE these MIRACLES HAPPEN! On January 2, 2013, President Obama signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2013 (H.R. 4310) THAT DECLARES THAT OUR MILITARY WORKING DOGS OF ALL BREEDS WILL NO LONGER BE CLASSIFIED AS "MILITARY EQUIPMENT" TO BE LEFT BEHIND IN FOREIGN LANDS...BUT AS MILITARY VETERANS. THESE DOGS NOW WILL BE RETURNING TO LACKLAND AFB IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS FOR THEIR SERVICES AS US HEROES. THEY WILL BE EVALUATED, AND RETRAINED AND RE-HOMED IF NEEDED. Finally getting the treatment they deserve. They don't deserve to serve our country and get left behind.

That's great news, Rhonda, but it's shameful that leaving them behind was ever our policy.

OH, I KNOW ROB!!! They get trained at Lackland AFB in Texas, where my boys went through training.....I wish I had known that, I would've had my boys take me where the dogs were being trained......if they can train them here, and then send them out in the field, you bet they better be bringing them home!
