| Is this something you can re-take, like the ACT's? I know Nick could have taken the ACT as many times as he wanted to, but I'm not sure how the SAT works. | |

| I think you are able to retake them, if you want to. I didn't, but a lot of my friends did, and they all did much better the second time because they knew what to expect.
Alex, when you say that you want to go into aviation, do you want to be a pilot?

It can be re-taken. - ingallsfan2008 wrote:

Alex, when you say that you want to go into aviation, do you want to be a pilot? Yes, I do Kristina. The SAT score, converted to the ATAR, which is the score for university entrance, I am well above the cut-off score for the aviation course.

| I think that's really neat that you want to be a pilot! I have a friend who is in his second year at an aviation school (I'm not sure how long it takes to become a pilot) and so far he's enjoying it! | |

| I share Kristina's opinion, Alex. I hope you could become a pilot. I know you likes planes so much. Try to retake the SAT exam. Maybe you could get scored the way you need. Get your chin up, boy! Vanesa. | |

| My daughters took the SAT/ACT 3 times, 2 times junior year and once senior. At their school, it was almost a given that you take it at least twice. You usually do better each time at least in one section. My daughters did better in math in one, writing another, but luckily a lot of colleges took all of them and made an average. One daughter jumped 100 points in one subject and with the ACT, went up 3 points. The first (for most) is the hardest. I couldn't afford test preps but one child did an online SAT prep that was free at the time.
They also applied to a couple of SAT optional schools where their grades were given more leverage than their scores.

| My score was like 500 out of 1600. Pretty pathetic. And I was a straight A student when I took mine. Some kid in my class had a 1600 out of 1600! Crazy! LETS GO PENS! | |
