Hostess

I just found out that Hostess is going out of business. Wow, for so many of us this was a big part of our childhood. My mom thought nothing of packing a package of Twinkies or Ding Dongs in my lunch from time to time. Honestly, I don't think my own boys ever had a single one. Let's face it, the stuff is poison.


Sorry for the loss of jobs though....I guess if they hadn't reached a deal with the strikers by 5:00pm yesterday, it was all over.

We have a Hostess bakery here in town, it's nice because if you go downtown on bread day it just smells so good. The workers here in Waterloo did not strike, I feel so bad for all the people losing their jobs. I'll miss going to the bakery outlet & getting those chocolate pudding filled pies.

That's so sad. I used to love to eat them.

I have to admit, I haven't bought a Hostess product in years, but it's sad to know the company is closing. Like so many things from my childhood, they will be gone.

I heard that on the radio this morning. I haven't had any in years either. I didn't get them that often in my lunch because they were more expensive, but I usually got a Hostess fruit pie when we needed a sack lunch for a field trip.

didn't they make them cupcakes ? I'll miss them for sure.

Especially nowadays. They really went up in price and Little Debbie snacks were much more affordable for that kind of 'food'.

I will miss the cupcakes, ding dongs and cinnamon coffee cakes. I didn't care much for twinkies. No more Hostess makes me sad

Someone mention it, on facebook. I'll miss their chocolate cupcake, mini blueberry muffin & mini chocolate chip muffin.

Never cared too much for Hostess products, but I do LOVE these TastyKakes..
