Hi from another new member

Hi!
My name is Laura ("Lammer" is just a nickname based on my initials). I found this website while googling around the web.
I live in Southern California and am a busy 40-something wife and mom . I have been a fan of the show since it came on (it used to be on Wednesdays, not Mondays; anyone else remember that? LOL), at that time being in elementary school and just discovering the books as well. I have been to Laura's adulthood home in MO as well as to the Pomona Public Library near where I live, which has a Laura Ingalls Wilder room. They also host a Gingerbread Sociable every February, to which I've been twice. I hope someday to tour all her homesites.

Regarding the show, I don't get a chance to see it too often nowadays, nevertheless I wanted to join the forum here. I used to be able to identify any episode within the first few seconds, and my mother has told me that as a little girl I would follow her around the house, telling her in excruciating detail about everything that happened on the show . My favorite episodes are the funny ones.

I may not get on to visit much, but I wanted to say "hi" just the same. I hope soon to spend more time here and get to know the rest of you.

Welcome, Laura! It's exciting to have a real Laura" in our Little House Board.

I wish I could visit Pomona's library. I've reaf they haf a room to honour Laura, but I didn't know about the gingerbread sociable. It sounds quite nice.

@Vanesa, not only am I a real Laura (haha), but I'm a Laura Beth-- not quite the same, but close, with a February birthday and a Midwest background. This is part of why I became such a fan: I had an instant connection.

Okay, I will slowly learn how to navigate my way around here LOL.
