Thank you SO MUCH for sharing the Mackinac Island fudge recipe! (For those who haven't tried it yet, it's on page 12 of the Prairie Cookbook thread.) I've made several batches as gifts already, and they've been HUGE hits. I also shared the recipe with a friend of a friend - a missionary overseas, who has a hard time finding chocolate chips and/or marshmallow creme, and she was THRILLED to be able to make fudge this year for Christmas!

I just made a double-batch with macadamia nuts in it this morning. I think that's the best chocolate fudge recipe I've ever tasted!

Who would've thought a California girl living in Missouri, would find a recipe from a place that you live closer to...... batEyes

I am hoping to be able to make up a couple of batches too, one for Christmas Eve and one for New Year's Eve. Can't go wrong! Thumbsup I may try adding the mint extract though, like one of your fb friends suggested, Lisa. I'll bet that's fabulous! Just another thought too...we had the BEST fudge of our lives in a Kilwins of Traverse City this past summer...it was a chocolate/caramel/sea salt. thud To DIE for!! There are lots of ways this fudge could be used as a 'base' and then modified for different flavors. Thumbsup

Lisa, your peanut butter fudge is still my very favorite though, I have to say. Love But I am a peanut butter fiend, so that makes sense. batEyes

Is the peanut butter fudge recipe in the Prairie Cookbook? I could use a good recipe. I won't be making it for a while though since I made pumpkin fudge and still have a lot of it left.

I'm not sure Lori....Lisa made some for me at some point, and as divine as it is, I never got the recipe. Fudge is something I've never attempted to make, so I guess I'm a bit intimidated. Huh?

Oh, you'd totally be able to make the Mackinac Island fudge, Mimi - and the peanut butter fudge I posted on Facebook, too. They're both very user-friendly recipes.

I'll post the PB fudge here, too, in just a minute....
