I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to look yet. You still could do medleys even with them playing with you, as long as you choose songs that are in violin-friendly keys. Then you can switch back and forth with having them playing the melody while you play a melodic improvisation in the background, then on the next verse do it the opposite way with you having the melody. I'll try to look through my music soon.
