I remember a few years ago we were talking about a piece of film from the silent movie era that seemed to show someone talking on a cell phone. Here's another example. This is from 1938. Waaaay before cells had been invented. The time travelers are among us!

I keep watching that, trying to come up with a logical explanation, and I haven't come up with one yet...

That is so wild! I had to watch it on youtube though (I have to watch all videos here through youtube now, because they won't show a picture here at all), and someone just made this comment. Not sure if it's true, but they seem to think so:
"It was a Leonminster's prototype towerless mobile radio phone (not a cellphone), like a multichannel W-T. Short range only, not tens of miles like today."

Very interesting, I've never heard of a Leonministers radio phone.
Spring is finally here, the lovely pink blooms on the "spray" tree outside my window are gone leaving a beautiful willow.

Rob, this one?.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj3qesTjOE8 I guess the consensus is that it is a hearing aid of some type. I don't know what the heck to think about it. The above footage was taken from the 'behind the scenes' footage of Charlie Chaplin's "The Circus". (1928) My grandmother remembers going to see this movie in the theater!! She liked Harold Lloyd better.

Me, too. (Though I'm not old enough to have seen the original releases of his movies. ) I like Buster Keaton's films, too. But Harold Lloyd is my favorite.
