Daisy 958b7c58-4074-4a79-987e-00fa7acb3685_zps3715d98b

yesterday my family had to say goodbye to our dog, Daisy. We had owned her for seventeen years, since she was ten months old. I miss Daisy so much. I got so used to looking out the window and seeing her laying on the porch or walking back to the house from the barn, and I got used to her occasional barks, as if she just wanted to let us know that she was there. Whenever I came home from somewhere she would always come to my car door to greet me, and she was always so happy to see me. Saying goodbye to Daisy was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. She was not just our dog, she was a member of our family.

Daisy 410460 Daisy 987565 I'm so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye to a "fur child" is so very hard. Daisy was a darling baby! You can see that she was well-loved...and I'm sure that she knew it, too!

I am so sorry to hear. I really can empathize as I just lost one of my precious pets myself. I will be praying for you. She sure was a darling looking sweetheart. Smiley Hug bawling

Awwww... Daisy is so pretty. I know how it hurts to loose them, but when you are ready it just opens your heart for another one that needs a loving home.

I am so sorry. Not many people can say that and mean it if they have not gone through the same experience at one stage in there life.
For a long time it seems as if your life is empty you have know friends (but you do really) it just feels like a place that cant be heeled by any amount of friends. Daisy looked well loved and had a happy life. try not to think about all the unkind things that you may have said to her in the happy 17 years that you had her. because prob more than 90% was love.
I feel for you at this hard time.

Thank you, everyone. It is hard getting used to Daisy not being in all the places where she would have been just a few days ago. Yesterday when I came home from somewhere I expected her to bark at my car before coming up to my door to greet me, which she always did.

I decided to make a Daisy scrapbook, with all the pictures I have of her. I'm just mad that there aren't more pictures of her, especially from when she was young. We have some of Daisy from her puppy days, and she looks almost like a different dog back then because she was so young.

Here are two photos of me and Daisy from a Dog Show we took her to last fall. She won five ribbons that day, including one for being the oldest dog there.

Those are great! Seventeen years is such a long time! She was well taken care of!
Make an ornament for your Christmas tree this year with her photo as well!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. We went through the same thing when we lost our cats. It's never easy to lose a beloved pet. Love the scrapbook idea. The Halloween costume is great.
