| I guess it depends on how you were raised. I don't have anything agianst Ma and Pa, but, to me, Mama and Papa sound more loving and respectful.

| I like ma and pa. Guess that's because I always called my great grandma Ma and even though my great grandpa passed away before I was born everyone in the family refered to him as Pa |

| Being raised in NY, we don't really call Mama or Papa, that sounds more like in midwest part of the country...lol I could be wrong. I call my parents Ma and Dad, except Ma is more emphasized on the A rather than on the M...LOL "Within the heart of every stray, lies the singular desire to be loved." | |

- Well, this California girl calls her parents Mom and Daddy. My brothers call them Mom and Pop! Not sure about the Ma and Pa or Mama and Papa......
I called mine Mommy and Daddy 'til I was around 12, then I decided it wasn't coooooool, so I went with Mom and Dad (later Pop). Since I was so much older than my brothers and sisters, they all copied me, so I was the only one to ever use they -Y ending. Poor Pop. I know now he preferred Daddy. | |
