| Hi! I am a very good friend of Sarah's, (Alice here on the forum) and I have some sad news. Sarah passed away in July at the age of 58. I used to post here very regular with her a few years back. I basically just found out the news, and thought you all should know. No one in her family told me. I found out by another friend, who saw her obit online. I am very shocked and saddened by this news. This past year, we hadn't really talked, and I gather it's because she was really sick. She was really good at sparing my feelings, and I don't think she wanted to tell me that she was so bad off.
I am thankful for the show Little House on the Prairie, because that's how we met. And I was really thankful that I met someone who lived close by, who shared my interest.
I got a text from her in June, and she asked about my mom, who has health issues, and she asked about the the rest of my family and me. When I asked how she was, she said she was doing well and would be in touch. I never heard from her after that.
Anyway, I thought you that knew her on here would want to know.
Please pray for her 3 daughters. They lost their Dad about 5 years ago, now Sarah.
God Bless you all! | |

| This breaks my heart. I didn't know Sarah well, but we spent many happy hours in the games section, and I considered her a friend. I'll be praying for her family.
Thanks for letting us know.

| She will be missed here for sure. I am sorry you had to find out the way you did. I had the same thing happen in May when I found out a friend had died 10 months earlier. Its such an odd feeling to know they aren't just a text or message away. The moments and things shared are your keepsakes though. You will treasure them always. Feel free to pm any of us here if you need to talk. Remember her with Smiles and Laughter. It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts. LIW.....Words From a Fearless Heart | |

| I know what you mean, Jacob. Years ago I used to post regularly to another board, and one of the members just disappeared. The people weren't as close as the ones on this board, and nobody knew her real name or had her email address. We never found out what became of her. | |

| Maggie, I am so sorry that you had to find out this way. What a shock, for you and for us. I know that you and Sarah were VERY close and so this must really be hard for you. Please know that her family is in my prayers and so are you. It is good to hear from you again. God bless you, old friend. | |

It is good to hear from you again. God bless you, old friend. Thanks, Marilyn! Means a lot to me. I just don't understand why her kids didn't inform me, and I had to find out on the internet. Your kindness means so much! God bless you! And thanks to you too, Teresa!

| Maggie, they were probably in FAR too much shock to be able to think clearly. They're young, they've already lost their father, and now their mother....They don't have a lot of life experience under their belts yet, and they've had to handle all of this hospital time (which I know from experience drains brain cells from a person), and the stress of her illness...and then her death and all of the planning and arrangements that are involved. I'm sure that it wasn't intentional. I *know* that when my Mom was in the hospital for weeks on end, I probably missed *someone* when I was trying to keep people informed. It's just so hard to try and think of everyone. | |

Thanks, Lisa! (Savannah) Sarah had told me that you started going by Lisa. Very pretty name. Just having a hard time of it, because your gut tells u something is wrong, and usually, when you feel it in your gut, it's right. I had the feeling something had happened. I mean, we went long periods without talking, but we wold text, and then those stopped. I thought maybe she was very ill and didn't want to say. Some people back away when they are ill, but she also knew it would upset me greatly. She was always good at trying to spare my feelings. I just wish I could have said goodbye.

| Maggie I feel your pain, I haven't been myself since i found out, In one her last PM's she told me she had health problems but she was fine i guess she didn't want me to worry but if i had known i could of sent her a card... would you mind sending me the link with the Obituary? We had a similar Experience When my Great Aunt Anne Passed away in January, We knew something was wrong cause she didn't answer her phone and all of sudden her phone was out of service, But we had no way of contacting her kids, a few months later we got a letter in the mail from her daughter saying she had passed away, If they had contacted us earlier we would of tried going to her funeral But i know having a death in the family makes your mind going blank, | |

Sorry you all had to find out about your Great Aunt that way. I found out some family died the same way... ONLINE!!! No one called my Dad to tell him that his Uncle died. JW, even though Sarah and I shared a lot of things, she was private in some ways. I think she knew the end was coming and wanted to go without anyone feeling sorry for her, etc. She wanted to go with dignity, without pity. I often wonder if her cancer returned. She did have a kidney removed that was cancerous. And she lost her other one probably due to her other medical issues. She went through quite a lot in these past few years, especially the recent ones, and I see posts by her on here that indicate that she was in and out of the hospital. I think she knew and didn't want to say. That was Sarah's way. I can say this... She was there for me when no one else was, and no matter what she and I went through in our friendship, we were always there for each other. I just wish she would have let me be there in the end, but it was her choice and I respect that. She was the best friend I ever had. I knew she had her times with her health, but I didn't know she was that ill that she would be taken home by the Lord this soon. She talked about you quite a lot to me, JW, and would say that you would say hi, or that she heard from you in PM. JW PM me your email. I will send you the link. It wont let me post links for 7 days, because it's seeing me as a new member.
