I just found out that The Partridge Family debuted 43 years ago today. So in honor of that, I'm posting this video (always loved the song, yet it's so rare to find!). Swooning over David here...
By the way, I don't mean to make anybody feel old...but when this show debuted, I was only 8 months old... Anyway, if you're a Partridge fan, enjoy!

I'm pretty sure I was in my crib Friday nights...but one of my favorite shows growing up! I loved watching when I came home from school or on summer vacations...and again when Nick at Nite use to air it. I hear Antenna tv still airs this but I no longer have that channel. However, I have most of the episodes on vhs taped years ago! lol

Well you may not have meant to but you did! Inconsiderate kids!

Yep, I was in my crib too, Julie! But gosh, I sure did love this show. This video had the original Chris....I would say blond Chris was my very first TV crush. Eventually I got old enough to move on to older men and appreciate David Cassidy's qualities though. By the time I was in middle school, I remember I spent my first babysitting dollars on a Partridge Family album, and rather than one with the whole family on the front, I bought the one that had David posing alone in his bathrobe. I'll never forget how 'grown up' I felt, buying that record.
This is terrible though...I don't remember that song, and I thought I knew most of them!
This was always one of my very favorites. I still like David's voice---it's easy to see how this kid became a pop star:
And wow, what a natural beauty Shirley Jones was. I remember my dad had a big crush on her. What's funny is how, in this video, she could easily be in 2013! Kinda wild. She's a classic!
Here's another favorite and I think one of their very best songs..."I think I love you"

Love them all! I've actually seen David in concert (last year, as a matter of fact). The crowd went wild when he did "Heartbeat!" I love that performance though; you can see he's really getting into it! This is another favorite of mine. From the infamous "skunk" episode! I also love the way David looks here.
the Partridge family aired a bit before my time, but I grew up watching reruns of the show, and I know we have a cd of their songs. my favorite character is Danny!
