Great story! And what a beautiful car!
Just think, Dave, maybe in a few years they'll be doing a similar story about you and your 1974 Pinto.

LOVE IT! And no seat belts! Believe it or not, she cannot get a ticket for not having them....the car is in original condition and back then, seat belts were not a mandatory option....I have a friend who used to drive a '68 Mustang, and she got pulled over for not having the light by her license plate. He was ready to write her up when he boyfriend said, "You can't give a ticket for something the car was made without." He was right and the cop had to back off....

Really Rhonda?! I was just about to respond about that, but wow...I guess that makes sense, but gosh! Just seems so unsafe!

Great story! I remember being in love with the Mustang when it first came out. Such a cool car.

It is ridiculous how much better cars used to look. Cars just don't have any character now.
I wish I didn't have to have bucket seats. I completely agree with her there!
My mother always talks about the 1957 Chevy that her father had. His was a red one, though.
I don't deny it. I am always jealous when I see people with older cars.

I'll have you know, Commander Wisenheimer, that this was my first car - a 1966 Olds Jetstar. This isn't actually it; I googled the pic. It was ten years old when I bought it, and only had 5,000 miles on it.
Who else wants to show their first car?

1973 Honda Civic Hatchback. Was silver and painted caramel brown with metallic flakes in it. Bought mag wheels and fat tires for it.....Loved that car......

I couldn't agree more!
This is fun, seeing everyone's first cars!
Mine was an '87 red Toyota Tercel hatchback, stick shift. (This is off google images). Oh how I loved this car!

My dad has had a 1930 Ford Model A since before I was born (the car is many years older than my dad, by the way ) and it has no seatbelts, and a rumble seat. I love riding in the rumble seat!
About a year ago he also bought a 1974 Chevy Nova to restore. It's just getting to be road-ready now. The first time he drove it in the yard, he used old telephone books as a seat because he had taken the regular seats out of it. Since then, the bucket seats are back in it

That was the only problem. That driving in reverse got old!
