Pop-Up Ads

This ad is popping up every single time I come to the forum.  Is anyone else getting it? How do I get rid of it?

I get it every time, too, Debbie.  It's been going on for several days now.   

I also get ads for pharmaceuticals. But mostly it's Milky Way.

I have an anti-virus with pop-up blocker, so I am not seeing it.....

I'm seeing a pharmaceuticals ad now too, also a Mercedes Benz ad.. I never got ads on this site before.. They seem to always appear in front of / blocking something. If not for that they wouldn't really bother me..

What ads come up for you on this site?

I get completely different ads with this computer than I did before.  On the old computer I would get ads that pertained to things that I may have just been searching for online.  I don't get anything like that now.  I get stuff that is just downright irritating.  I am getting ads for a local hospital, different medications, guns (that just came up before) and especially one for a particular candy bar.    

I think these ads are slowly driving me crazy.  They never used to bother me before, but these ads are bad.  The candy bar is the worst, though.  It will appear at the top of the screen and hang over onto this part sometimes. And it takes a few seconds to load onto the page. So it slows the site down a little bit.    

I was just wondering what others on here get.

For quite a while I'd get ads like the ones you describe, that actually overhang the dialogue box.  Now I'm back to just regular ads relating to my online searches.  I didn't do anything to cause the change; it just happened.

I am seeing ads for glasses which I have been shopping for lately.

I don't see any adds. I have ad blocker.

I should try that. There is another site that I wanted to be on for quite awhile. So I just joined it today. There were always ads on it, but it never gave me any trouble. Well, this is the first time I'd been on the site since I got this new computer. And those ads made everything so slow. It was very aggravating. So, I think I will give that a try.

That gives me hope.    It does seem to be getting better on here. I just hope that I am not speaking too soon!   

Not seeing it, Debbie. I too, have a pop up blocker.
