It's official! The British editions of the Little House DVD's are complete! No uncut scenes! I've just purchased Season 5 because it has just been released here in Britain. I already have all 9 Seasons imported from US but knew there were scenes in There's No Place Like Home, Fagin and The Godsister which had been cut and wanted to check for myself to see if they were included in the British ones. The poignant scene where Albert asks Charles if he can call him Pa in Fagin is there, the scene where Caroline is talking to Charles about going home in There's No Place Like Home and the one in The Godsister where Charles is discussing what telephones will mean to the country and becoming a part of history by erecting telephone lines are there too.
I have all the episodes on VHS which I taped from television in the early 90's when the show was re-run here so I have all the epidoses in their entirety. I couldn't believe so many scenes had been cut from the US versions. The lighting and picture quality seem to be so much better too so I'm going to replace all the Seasons as and when I can afford.
In the meantime, if there's any of you out there who would like my Season 5 US version, whoever PM's me first can have it.
