My husband and I went to see this movie this afternoon. If you plan to see if be aware its a three hour movie. I am not a huge Brad Pitt fan ( I know....but guess I've heard a bit too much of him lately.)
The storyline is interesting, but I found the movie very slow. Because its 3 hours long, I feel it needed a little more action or at least have him grow younger a little quicker.
I think this would be a good movie to rent, but I wish I hadn't gone to the theater to see it. Just my thoughts.

i thought that the film was interesting and i thought brad pitt did a great job, although i'm not his biggest fan...the fillm is long, but i found that it didn't really drag...lots of similarities to forrest gump

the short story by f scott fitzgerald doesn't take itself seriously and takes half the time to read...

No I can't watch anything with Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise. They both have a "turn my stomach" factor that I just can't explain.

Savannah, thats exactly what has turned me off to them both too. I just have a hard time with anyone that walks away from a marriage and/or children.

I saw a trailer for it, but didn't understand what it was about from that... so it'll be a rental. Granted, I so rarely get to the theater anymore, pretty much everything for me is a rental these days.
