I hope Jake is able to work something out so he can visit Josh before he goes. I can only imagine how difficult the phone conversation was. Blue {{{HUGS}}}

Josh is in my prayers.

I hope and pray it will all work out Rhonda. It sounds like a tough situation. I'll certainly keep the boys in my prayers.

WOW...Hope Jake gets to go too. I will send Josh a card soon. I remember how hard it was on Jake and will be praying for him. Rhonda I know this is hard on you, but this is good for Josh. He will come back more grown up. Hang in there, my prayers are always with you.

Received a letter from Josh and he said he is on a medical break. Seems he has shin splints and they don't want him hurting them anymore than he already has. His right foot has a high arch and his left foot has a fallen arch. Please pray that he heals quickly and can get back in with his flight. If he is out too long, they will recycle him and his graduation date will be pushed back a week or so. I know he would appreciate the prayers for his health. Thank you. pray

*Ouch* I've heard they are very painful.

I pray that Josh will heal soon and get back in with this flight.

Thanks everyone. Josh is supposed to go in for a follow up today and if the shins are still bothering him, he will have xrays. He is afraid he might have hairline fractures. If so, he will be off for a long time and be recycled for sure....worse yet, he could get a medical discharge............PLEASE keep the prayers going for him, he REALLY needs them now....... pray

Josh is doing well and looking forward to his graduation on the 31st. He did not get recycled and is coming right along with his training and his studies.....This week, he is out in the field, doing what is called, BEAST. He is SO ready to get out from under Basic Military Training and be on his way to Tech school in Wichita Falls, TX. He also said he received a letter/card from someone that I know on the internet, so, you know who you are and he appreciates it and so do I! grinsmiley

Wonderful! It's great to hear that he's doing well, and will be able to graduate! Any word on whether Jake will be able to work things out to attend Josh's graduation?

Jake is unable to go to his graduation or even make a trip down there before he ships out......he tried, and his commanding officer tried, but the "higher ups" said, "NO WAY!" So, instead of jeopardizing his military career, they decided not to push it. :sad5:

I'm so sorry to hear that. I know that they both had really wanted that to be able to happen. Well, you'll have to take lots of pictures, and maybe a video so Jake can "be there" through those.

It is good to hear that Josh is doing well! I know he must have been extremely relieved that he didn't have to be recycled and things are moving forward. Thank you for the update!

I am so sorry to hear this...that really stinks! I'm glad that Josh is doing better though.

At least they have been able to talk to each other on the weekends and text each other when Josh is given the battery to his cell phone. We have even 3-way called and I get to sit and listen to them talk about all the stuff going on down there and I know Jake loves to recall all the stuff he did while he was there 2 years ago.......

By the way, Jake leaves for Cuba, next Saturday, the 25th at 6am on one of those HUGE Air Force planes.....he says it is a stretched plane, and Josh came back with a Limo Plane.....lol His cell phone will have a freeze on it while he is gone, so he doesn't have to pay the full amout on it, and the only way of communication will be email......he'll have his laptop with him......Anyway.....pray for Jake as he will be gone for 6 months..... bawling
