Please keep David in your prayers. Several months ago he had an ear infection. It got worse due to me giving him ear drops that he turned out to be allergic to & that he got some type of shingles in his ear & in the nerve of the left side of his face.

At his worst that side of his face looked like he had a stroke and his ear was all messed up.

After lots of steroid treatments, including poking two holes in his ear drums and injecting steroids behind it, antibiotics & ear drops he still isn't out of the woods but doing a lot better.

Problem is he has had several hearing tests and it was determined today that he has lost all hearing in his left ear. They give him a 1% chance of it improving. So needless to say he is bummed out. The kids are off visiting my family in Beeville so I will tell them when they get back.

Anyway, please pray for him, that he will regain some degree of hearing in his ear. Thanks.

Oh, that's awful. I'm sorry to hear about this. We'll definitely keep David's name up in prayer.

Sorry to hear of this Misti. Nothing is impossible through lots of prayer though. In the meantime keep whispering in his other ear, and I'm sure he will get through this time.
AND....don't blame yourself for using the drops, you couldn't have known how it would affect him.

That's right. Even doctors prescribe things sometimes to people that will cause a bad effect. How is David doing Misti?

Thank you all for your prayers! He is doing a little better but still no hearing in his left ear. We're not even sure what we are going to try and do about that in the future. I guess we will see. He still has hear drops he is taking and it more day to day. When he is ready for options, we will have to see what insurance covers.

Praying for you guys, and praying for strength for David. I was going through some of the messages in this section of the forum, and he certainly is going through a lot right now Thinking of you guys, hoping and praying for some improvement. {{hugs}}
