A Re-make of Anne of Green Gables!!!

Yeah,Least something "good" be on T.V pluse it will be Canadian Made. i'll give it a chance.

I remember seeing the movie often when I was younger. I also had the book. I always wondered if they would re-do it.

Lisa...that's funny. I had " Annie" memorized. My brother hated for me to start singing.

Well there is only one place to film it.....Canada!! Megan will always be Anne to me though.

It will be intersting to see who is cast in the new version.

Most of the Anne movies and Road To Avonlea were filned in Toronto. Some of the spots they used are close to me and I have been to the farm where the serires was filmed.

No, it won't be good as the original Anne of Green Gables. Probably won't even last 1 season. It's set back in 1908. What are they trying teach our kids? I can understand, having new characters. But, having Anne on facebook or twitter. So, will it be 1908. Anne is on facebook?

Not sure how this will play out, but I would love to be one of their writers.

I don't think this will be has good has the other one is. They are just gonna mess it up.

In 2005, Ed Friendly produced a mini-series that was similar to the Pilot episode. It starred Erin Cottrell as Caroline and Cameron Bancroft as Charles. Friendly wanted to produce a show closer to the books and hoped it would get picked up as a series. That did not happen. Also, in 1999 and 2002, CBS released two movies titled: Beyond the Prairie: The True Story of Laura Ingalls Wilder 1 & 2. This covered Laura's teen years, meeting Almanzo, the first few years of their marriage, and the early years at Rocky Ridge Farm. Richard Thomas (John Boy from the Waltons) played Charles in this one.

No. Not 1908 - it will be set in 2012 if they continue with their current plans.
