halloween

I was wondering how do you all spend Halloween?

I just sit around and watch scary movies and eat junk. lol!

I don't do anything..

i don't celebrate Halloween! and its on a Wednesday this year so i will be at church

Well, my church is having a safe Tick or Treat for the neighborhood. At least it will be safe.

Nothing. I hate that holiday now that I can't go trick or treating. lol

LOL! I am a christian though, and I don't think it's evil. I think it's for people to have fun, especially the kids.

In my country only the young ones are celebrating Halloween the way of American does, and this is only since the end of the 1990's, for it is "cool".

Here, these days are "All Saints" and "All Deads", so I'll do what ancient Argentinians people should do. Visit a Cemetary.

I did it every years. I do not visit Chacarita Cemetary, where my beloved ones are, sice I think about them all days of the year and visit them time to time. I'll go to recoleta Cemetary, three blocks away my flat("Evita" is buried there), for it is the oldest Cemetary of Buenos Aires and there are a lot of gravesites whithout any flowers, since all the relatives of the people buried there are all dead by now. I let flowers there, since some of these doesn't have their names written there any more (time erased them) and anyone thinks about them any more.So, I'll pray for them and think about them. About who they where and how they lives could have been so long ago.

I also let some flowers in our historical men and women gravesites and pray for them.

Our church always has a church party on the Sunday before Halloween. They have costume judging for the kids, trick-or-treating, a haunted house and a magician. Then cider and donuts too.

On Halloween the kids go trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. We pass out candy too. Then we always go visit my parents to that they can see the kids in their costumes.

Kelsey is being a 50's girl and Devin is being Michael Myers, from Halloween.

Neat to see others get in the "spirit" of things. lol!

Not too many kids come around my street for candy..Just teenangers !!!

Yeah! Some feel they are never too old to Trick Or Treat, but I beg to differ. lol.

I am going to one. I am going to be a Pumpkin. lol.

My boys always went trick or treating. Now that they are grown, they usually go to costume parties. My oldest boy's band played for a Halloween Party one year and were pretty popular for it.

We try to have a party for the kids at church and for the teens, we have been doing a scavenger hunt. It is NOT your ordinary hunt though. Instead of going house to house collecting things, there are 4 or more teams, depending how many kids are there and you have a 'driver' and a 'cameraman'. The list consists of things like:
"Do the chicken dance in front of Wal*Mart, make sure the sign shows in the background"
"Go to a cemetary and stand near a headstone"
"Go to the Mexican resturaunt and put on the Sombrerro"
"Go to the middle of the football field and make a human pyramid" etc......
Every place they go and do these things, the cameraman video tapes it all. They have a time limit and then they come back when they are either finished or out of time. We view the videos and see who completed the tasks......It is SO FUNNY!!!!
