SNOW!

No power. Lots of trees down and the snow keeps coming. Hanging at the in-laws' house and hoping tomorrow we can go home.

That's just so bizarre for this time of year. Hope everyone is safe and warm, Cheryl.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the front headline this morning. WOW. Bizarre is right!! I hope your power comes back quickly Cheryl!! Stay safe! Debbie, how is your neck of the woods?

Thanks everyone. Well, we made it through the storm with minimal damage, but we still have no power at home and no idea when it will be restored. They think it could take up to a week in some areas.

We went home. I had about a dozen trees down in the yard. I spent the late morning and early afternoon hand sawing some trees and hauling them off into the woods. Many roads are impassable. Tonight it's going down into the teens, but after that it will be almost 50 most days and almost 60 by Thursday.

I've read your letter to Mther Nature, but I don't thing we could blame her for this kind of things...Things just happens, or maybe it us we are treatinf Mother Nature badly...

Hope you could have electric power soon. Nowadays, we cannot live without it...

Yeah, I was just trying to be funny. You can only laugh when things like this happen. Right now, it looks like we'll be without power until late Thursday.

Oh, no! Nowadays, electric power is ESSENTIAL to our lives, since we used it for all things, work or fun. This is plainly awful, Cheryl!

Before we went to bed last night they were saying we wouldn't have power until Friday at midnight, and now it says midnight today. Prayers would be appreciated.

Oh, I'm sure you're anxious to get home, Cheryl! I'll be praying it's restored by tonight!

No one can blame you for being upset....(your letter was cute, by the way ).....your area has been hit ridiculously hard all year long! If it's not one thing, it's another! I really hope you can catch a break this winter.

(P.S. My mind has been on all those poor people who are forced to utilize shelters, considering everyone needs heat. I'm sure the idea of shelters is getting really old, for most. Thank goodness the temps are going up from here on out).

We didn't get as much snow here as they originally predicted, but lots of people were / are still without power. Luckily we didn't lose ours. We were ready though if need be.

Cheryl, I hope you get your power back ASAP. I know how frustrating this must be for you.

We didn't get no snow. the part of MI, where we lived. Last week or this pass week.

No, we're hoping for tonight. Right now the main concern is one of the cats isn't doing well with the cold and us not being home. She's very much a people cat. I might bring her here to the in-laws' house for tonight. The other thing is we have sewer water backing up into the basement. We live at the bottom of a hill, so we have a sewer tank and ejector pump that hasn't been operational since Saturday afternoon. We're looking into a natural gas generator, because we can't go through a fourth storm without power.

Oh no, how awful! (meaning the cat AND the pump issue!). I hope you can get a gas generator soon....I can see how probably more and more people in your area are having to invest in them. And I can see where your cat is feeling abandoned right about now, poor thing. Hope you can get him/her soon.

I don't know what's the issue with electric power those last years. When it goes down, you never knows when it will be restored...

Thanks ladies. Now the company's website says they are assessing the condition, which means still no power. Almost half the town is still in the dark.

We ended up bringing Stubby here. She's much happier and eating now.

I was just praying about your situation this morning, Cheryl. I'm sure sorry to hear that you don't have power yet. But glad to hear that Stubby is eating!

We have no snow yet.
