Gee whiz, Canada is called the Great White North but we hardly have any snow here in the greater Toronto area. It seems like you all in the States have more than we do. I know that if snow hits my friend in Beaver Dam, WI then it will hit the other side of the great lake in Michigan before it eventually comes my way. But this past week we were supposed to get a huge big whallop and it never came. We got a bit not not much. It missed us somehow and ended up hitting Cheryl's area. And as I am watching the news right now the weatherman has shown pics of the Dallas airport where flights have been cancelled sue to the snow, hampering those Superbowl fans who want to attend the game on Sunday. They have more snow in Dallas than we do. So, I guess Canada isn't so much the Great White North after all.

LOL Larry! Cheryl, you have such a beautiful home! (I'm with Larry...I'd like to move in too----but I'm not going to live with Larry in the shed. I'll take a spare bedroom, thank you. ).
What, you don't wanna see me in my long johns? I'll even get the kind with the flap in the back and a pocket for chaw.
And why does SHE get the spare bedroom while I'm out in the shed? It got a stove? I'm cool with that.

As I recall, my friend, you were the one who asked if I had room in the shed. Now, if you asked me if I had a spare bedroom, I would have offered you that. And, no, the shed has no stove. It has a ride-on lawn mower, several bikes, my gardening equipment, and some pointy tools that would rip a good size hole in your long johns, and perhaps, your buttocks.

Well, battled my fear of heights today and crawled back on to the roof and cleared it. I had borrowed our neighbor's roof rake, so I was able to get a lot of the snow safely from the ground, but still spent an hour on the porch roof clearing it. I doubt I could have gotten hurt if I slipped. There is over 5 feet of snow to break my fall.
I thought I was more than ready for spring, but after reading about your snow adventures, Cheryl, I feel less of a need to complain about the few inches of snow and ice we've been getting pretty much weekly. Nothing compared to a few feet on the ground!

Touche'. She was thinking quicker than I. No matter. I'll build a homemade spit out back, do me some hunting for food...you'll never even know I'm there.

Eh, you don't have to worry about that. With the snow up to Cheryl's windows you can sit on a snowbank and watch through the window.

Yeah, that'd work. Just hope she doesn't get me thrown in the pokie for being a peeping Tom.

My bedroom is downstairs, so the only thing you would get to see are my little girls. They are much scarier and more fierce than I am. Katherine would probably push you off the roof and laugh while you writhe in pain.
But alas, the roof is clear of snow. I had to clear it because water was trickling through the siding down onto the porch. We cleared the deck off yesterday because we have water in the basement coming from right where the deck meets the house. I am so darn sore.

Here we go again. We're supposed to get anywhere from 8-18 inches of snow. Back on December 11th, we got 17 inches. That would be crazy to have two HUGE amounts of snowfall during the course of a single winter season. One huge snowfall was enough!! I can handle a few 6 "inchers," but not a few 10+ "inchers."

Just a few short hours ago, we had NO snow left at all.
And here's Chelsey, wondering what the heck is going on. "Didn't we just get rid of all this stuff?!", she says.

Thanks guys. Well, here's just one more pic of her, I can't resist. Her white face kind of fits with the 'snow' thread, dontcha think?
This is her "Do Not Disturb, I'm trying to sleep" look.
