Ah, yes, the squirrels.  I've grown corn, but the birds wreaked havoc on it more than the squirrels.  I'd walk toward the garden, and there's be a big WHOOSH sound as a flock of blackbirds went flying out. 

Ohh, yes, I always grow green beans.  Once you've had fresh beans ten minutes after being picked, you'll never want to eat canned ones again.
