| My friend and her hubby had recently opened their own dental office down the block from my house, the place looks fabulous. She had been asking me and my girls to go there and become her patients. I would do it in a heartbeat if I don't have a dentist already. The dentist we go to have been with us for since my girls were babies. She's been a wonderful lady. If I go to my friend's office, I would feel like I betrayed my dentist. If I stay with mine then I don't want my friend to think I'm not supporting her. I did tell my friend that I would go straight to her if anything changes with my dentist. I think she's a bit of hurt that I'm not choosing her. Her hubby has been very supportive, he said to just give her time because she's just too excited about her new business.
What would you guys do, would you stay with your own dentist or go with your friend? "Within the heart of every stray, lies the singular desire to be loved."

| I would stay with my old dentist. As a professional, I'm sure your friend will understand the bond that develops between a person and their dentist or doctor. It sounds like her husband has the right idea. I'm sure she'll realize that your loyalty to your regular dentist is no reflection on your feelings of friendship for her. | |

| I agree with Rob. It may take a little while, with her being so excited about her new business, but I'm sure that she'll understand that it isn't about your friendship. {{{Lily}}} | |

| I would stay with the old dentist too. Sometimes it's better to keep the friends as friends and enjoy time together. If you bring a profession into the mix and something goes wrong, you could lose your dentist AND your friend. | |

| I agree with the consensus. There are certain things that don't mix well at times--friendships and business are usually one of them. | |

| You guys should be crowned for all of your inputs, thank you so much!!!
Well, I will not put any floss into our relationship, because our friendship's roots stretch as far back as our teenage years. I hope my friend has her wisdom of feeling the same way as me and doesn't burn one's own bridges. "Within the heart of every stray, lies the singular desire to be loved."
