Looks like all of you have been having fun. I had an all day early childhood meeting to attend (need to earn my 12 hours per year of training for my job). I did have time to make some corned beef and cabbage though and picked up some green bread at the bakery. Tim and Kelsey picked up cupcakes and cookies earlier.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I just noticed I am wearing green in my avatar picture, does that count for a St. Patrick's Day avatar?

Ok, so here is my first attempt at corned beef and cabbage! It was 'ok'...I guess I'm not really a big corned beef fan. But everyone else enjoyed it, so it was a festive success! I also made an Irish beer bread.
You guys sure look like you've had fun! I enjoyed reading through all the limericks!

OH. MY. GOODNESS. As soon as I posted that, the Celtic Woman on PBS broke into that very song.....I must say, it was/is much better than the Muppets.....
When they sang that in concert, it was a like a religious experience. There were literally grown men crying all around me!

Yeah, there is just something about hearing them live in concert. I had seen all the PBS specials, had a couple of the CD's...so I wasn't all that overly 'excited' to see them. And then I was just throroughly blown away, because seriously, nothing can prepare you. It is THAT different. I am so glad I went now, since that was the last 'big thing' my mom and I did together...I highly doubt she'll be able to do anything like that again, so for that reason, that experience and Celtic Woman will always be special to me. My mom just adored that concert!
By the way, when I saw it (I think two years ago now), the blonde 'star' (who is in the pink?) was only 16 at the time! Can you imagine?! She looks so much older, and her talent and presence is obviously far beyond her years! Just amazing.

Is that Hayley Westenra? I remember hearing that she was joining Celtic Woman. She'd been a solo artist before, following in the footsteps of Charlotte Church.

Nope...I'm not sure what her name is. Although one of the girls does look like Hayley to me, so perhaps she is? Hayley wasn't in it when I saw them though. I just don't know how they can continually sound so amazing each night of performances. You'd think they'd get tired of it or their voices would give out. But they sounded as if they were putting on their first show---the excitement was palpable.
So we're winding down another St. Paddy's Day for another year. Here is a beautiful Irish lullaby to help lull O'Prairie Pals to sleep.

Happy St Patrick's Day ... May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, may good luck pursue you each morning and night. May the roof above us never fall in, and may we friends gathered below never fall out. A trout in the pot is better than a salmon in the sea. As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction.

I don't even know what she looks like, Amy. I just remember reading that she was joining CW. Don't remember if it was as a permanent thing, or just for backup.
Oh, that girl isn't Chloe Agnew, is she?

Ah yes! I'm quite certain that's her!
*Edit*...hmm, I just checked her out and it states she was born in 1989! Which would make her like 23! I could have sworn I'd read she was younger than that when I looked into her background after the concert two years ago. Weird!
